AutoShutdownManager is a professional power management tool that helps to reduce the power consumption of Laptops, tablets, PCs and servers running Microsoft Windows 2000, 2003 and XP. On the other hand it can help to maximize security following the principle: machines that are down can’t be attacked.
It allows intelligent Auto Shutdown and Wakeup, WoL (Wake On LAN), Restart, hard Power Down by time, to control PC usage by time and duration per week day (e.g. for Kid Protection) , protocol all up and down times. It runs in networked environments on clients as well as on servers. It supports exceptions like running applications, active network clients, time based rules, Scheduled Tasks, CPU & HDD utilization. AutoShutdownManager can also manage active VMWare session to bring them into suspend mode before a shutdown and up again after wake-up or restart of the host.
Its interactive interface allows users and administrators to easily setup and configure basic settings and tune the functionality in all details later on demand. The tool can be protected by password, so users can’t modify settings. All settings are stored encrypted.
Its functionality was build under the objective of high machine’s stability and less resource consumption for its own operation. To allow execution on remote servers, there is no need for user interaction at any time during runtime.
